Problems with Chkout Machine…
Simply put, I am not having any. I cleaned out the cruft in the quake directory (old bots) as well as the animats solution. I also successfully compiled the program and ran it on the chkout machine. There are a couple big things that need to be done for the program to run.
1) Make sure you have an updated fear dll copied to the quake2 folder. (This seems obvious, but the last update on the dll was on the 6th of April)
2) Make sure the xml files are all located in the proper directories. This is one of the big things perforce doesn’t do for you.
3) Another thing Perforce can’t do is the map/environment. Make sure you have an up-to-date map unpacked (with all textures, etc) These don’t change often, I will usuallylet you know if they do.
Other then that, not a lot needs to be done.
